So, you've got your hands on The Witcher 3, huh? Let me tell you, that's a journey you're about to embark on. Now, you're probably wondering, "How long is this beast of a game gonna take me?" Well, grab a coffee, 'cause we're about to dive in.
First Things First: The Main Story
Alright, let's start with the main story. If you're just gonna breeze through it, not stopping for all the side quests and exploration, you're looking at around 50 hours. But who are we kidding? You're not gonna do that. This is The Witcher 3 we're talking about!
Side Quests: The Real Stars of the Show
Now, let's talk about those side quests. They're the real stars of the show, and they'll add a good chunk of time to your playthrough. Each one is like a little adventure in itself. Some might take you an hour, some might take you five. But they're all worth it, trust me.

Exploration: The Path Less Traveled
And then there's exploration. Oh, the beautiful, beautiful exploration. The world of The Witcher 3 is just begging to be explored. You'll find hidden treasures, secret places, and who knows what else. This is where the game really shines, and it's where you'll spend a lot of your time.
New Game Plus: Because Once Isn't Enough
And if you're anything like me, you'll want to play it again. New Game Plus is a thing, you know. It's like starting a new book, but you already know the story. It's a whole new experience, and it'll add another 50 hours or so to your total playtime.
How Long Does It Take To Beat The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt?
So, How Long Is This Gonna Take?
Alright, let's do some math. If you're playing on normal difficulty, not rushing through everything, and you're playing for about 10 hours a week, you're looking at around 100 hours for the main story and side quests. Add another 50 hours for New Game Plus, and you're at 150 hours. And that's not even counting all the extra stuff you'll do along the way.
But here's the thing: time flies when you're having fun. And The Witcher 3 is a whole lot of fun. So, don't worry about the hours. Just worry about enjoying the ride.
